Brabus Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar

Brabus upgrades the mighty Mercedes Benz SLS AMG gullwing supercar. Picture gallery and details here

Brabus has tuned the Mercedes-Benz SLS. The new-age gullwing supercar has been fettled by the famed tuning house, and with some pretty handsome results. The introduction of some carbonfibre strakes and slashes and new multispoke forged alloy wheels – 20in front and 21in rear – manage to subtly inject some muscle into the Merc without the eye-grabbing results others have managed. And if you don’t like the carbonfibre look, your lightweight aero additions can be painted to match the car’s colour. There are changes under the skin, too. Brabus Ride Control allows the driver to tweak the suspension to suit their mood: the ride height can be lowered 40mm for a more focused, hardcore feel or the dampers can be softened and the car raised for a more supple ride. There’s also a front lift system to aid the negotiation of speed bumps and driveways. And to enhance the 6.2-litre V8 engine’s performance, there’s a lightweight titanium sports exhaust, which at 12kg, weighs 40 per cent less than the standard item while cultivating an extra 10bhp. That takes the total power output to 573bhp. Click here for our Mercedes SLS AMG track video See more tuned Mercedes-Benz SLS AMGs here
