Jaguar F-type tuned by Arden

German tuning company Arden takes its spanners to the Jaguar F-type, boosting power to 542bhp

The Jaguar F-type hasn’t fully launched, yet it’s already attracting the attention of tuners. First up is Arden, a German company that’s very familiar with Jaguar and Land Rover products.

The F-type Roadster sidesteps the unsubtle design touches some Arden-tuned cars possess, keeping most changes mechanical for now. The range-topping F-type V8 S sees its 5-litre V8 boosted from 488 to 542bhp, matching the power that engine boasts in the Jaguar XKR-S and XFR-S. There’s no word on performance improvements, but expect the 4.3sec 0-62mph time to fall closer to 4.0sec, while its limited 186mph top speed could be lifted past 190mph.

An upgraded brake system is shrouded in new 20in Sportline alloy wheels, while there’s a lick of British Racing Green paint and a 3D Jaguar leaper atop the front grille.

Less subtle tweaks probably lie around the corner for the F-type, while the lesser-powered V6 F-types are also in line for an upgrade.
