Watch - Ford Focus RS thrashed by Ken Block

Rally driver Block demonstrates the 2015 Focus RS' pace and agility in this new promo video

For its latest promo video, Ford handed the keys of its freshly unveiled Focus RS to rally driver Ken Block. Pushing the four-wheel drive RS to its limits, the American drifts and flicks his way around a European Ford plant with typical Block flamboyancy.

Now the car's been unveiled, we know it features an uprated version of the Mustang's 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, and produces 'in excess of 316bhp.' We also know the car sends drive to all four wheels and uses torque vectoring to improve agility.

With the reveal of this video, we now have a pretty good idea of how the car will be to drive. Under Ken Block's guidance at least, the Focus RS looks incredibly capable.

That should calm the worries of some, who've taken the car's less aggressive styling and five-door layout as confirmation it'll posses a softer character than its predecessor.

As demonstrated by the video's rear-wheel cocking and prolonged four-wheel drifts, the 2015 Focus RS certainly looks like it could be a hoot to drive. We'll know more when we get to drive one, but for now, you can watch Mr Block above to make up your own mind.
